Here are the events happening at Hackney House in collaboration with the Hackney Business Network:
Tuesday 21st June kicks off with a Tech Best Practice session. Tech City UK and Hackney Council are celebrating the launch of their report, 'Promoting Enterprise and Regeneration', that focuses on regeneration in Hackney over the past number of years and the collaborative efforts that made this happen.
On Wednesday 22 June as part of the Hackney House programme, Hackney House will host an afternoon of tech industry events to help start-ups and SMEs grow.
First up, a discussion between some of the most exciting start-ups coming out of the Nordic and Baltic regions and how this city has helped them open up global growth opportunities. The session will be particularly useful for international and native companies with a panellists including Nassir Achour, VidFlow (Norway) and Jeanette Carlsson, Tech Nordic Advocates (UK/Nordics).
Following that, learn how brands WP Engine and TechCityInsider engage with customers in ever-changing, ever-more sophisticated ways. Join the exciting discussion between representatives from each business and Scott Wilkinson, head of brand, acquisitions and digital at Virgin Media Business.
Last on the agenda for the afternoon, PR and social media agency 33Seconds presents a practical panel discussion to help start-ups understand how the media operates, including: how to pitch a story and cut through the noise; setting the news agenda, and tailoring your message to suit current trends.
On Friday 24 June, join the Hackney Business Entrepreneurship Day 2016. Hackney are teaming up with Secret Sauce Conference to curate the ground floor roster of speakers and the Hackney Business Network Bootcamp has guest from Natwest, Get Set for Growth, HCED and Geniac giving in-depth workshops on social media, growth, finance and more.
